Photoshop Aligment
For those of us who use Vector programs like Illustrator, Corel, FreeHand or Canvas, aligning two or three objects is a breeze- (Example). In previous versions of Photoshop, sure we could align Layered objects but we had to use the good old unreliable eye or spend considerable time nudging here and there. Well "Kudos" to Photoshop 5, we can now align layered object much the same way we do in vector programs. Photoshop 5 even takes it a step further adding "Distribute" in the same way 3D programs like RayDream, Infinity, 3D Studio does. In this tutorial we'll cover the "Align & Distribute" feature so let's rock on.
Begin by creating two new layers, on the bottom layer create a square , hold down the "Shift" key to constrain it equally. On the top layer create another square but this time a little smaller. That the smaller Square is not centered to the Big Square. Your Layers should look like (Fig 1). The smaller square is first going to be used to "Align" to the larger then used to punch a hole. Go to the bottom layer containing the larger square and click to link the layer with the smaller circle (Fig 1). Go to "Layer/Align Linked/Vertical Center" and "Layer/Align Linked/Horizontal Center".
